Rutland - Normanton Church, Leicestershire
A very interesting location with great potential for photography. Normanton Church, Rutland's most famous landmark was sunken after the reservoir was created to form the Rutland water leisure complex. There's lots to do making it ideal for a family day out: nature, bird spotting, fishing, watersports, cycling, rock climbing but most importantly a great location for photography. Architecturally it makes for an interesting subject and a great backdrop for model shots. The church is on the eastern bank. Not a huge walk from the car park. Probably best to avoid school holidays if you are going for photography.
Rutland Water Park is open every day except Christmas Day.
