Nash Point & Temple Bay, Vale of Glamorgan
This is a great location anytime of the day or year. However, getting there just before or after high tide (so check them first - look at times for Port Talbot and Porthcawl to get an idea), along with a sunset / sunrise will give some great shots. Some fantastic rock formations are revealed at low tide. The sedimentary sandstone cliffs are very photogenic and are beautifully lit with golden light at sunset.
As a good contrast, to the normal summer shots, getting there in the winter, particularly after a good few days of icy weather brings out some good ice forming over the rocks.
A short walk from the car park is the Nash Point Lighthouse and the grounds are a public right of way, so can continue the walk along the cliff tops.
There's plenty of good pubs in the area, but there's nothing at the actual location.
