Brechfa Pool

Graham Vincent's picture

Brechfa Pool is a shallow, seasonally variable upland lake at approximately 270m a.s.l.

Spring and Autumn is a good time for migrating wading birds. It's also a breeding site for Mute Swan, Lapwing and Reed Bunting.

It is home to plants that include orange foxtail grass, pennyroyal, floating spike-rush and the rare aquatic fern called pillwort.
