Bradgate Park, Leicestershire

Shan Swann's picture

Bradgate park is an historic Mediaeval deer park in the heart of the ancient Charnwood Forest. One of my favourite places....but I pick my times carefully as it gets very busy and very noisy at times!!! It's worth getting there early for the sunrises and really hard to take a bad shot as so many subjects... water, ruins, wildlife etc etc. Grassy paths provide a variety of walks with views over nearby Cropston Reservoir and the city of Leicester. The park is open to visitors from 7.45am until dusk on every day of the year. Plenty of charged parking at various entrances to the park and a nice cafe too...perfect!!!
