Whitby is an ancient sea port close to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. It also has to be one of the best places in the country for photographers. Many DPC students have visited Whitby and I never cease to be amazed at the variety of images they submit.

Always see someone painting here as its under cover pedestrian only tunnel - trains go over head - the whole tunnel is free for all for graffiti artists - the biggest legal wall in London. It can be quite dark so you will need to use high ISO or long exposure.

Big Pit is the National Mining Museum of Wales. Entry is free although there is a £3 car park charge. On the surface there is plenty of industrial machinery, scrap metal, train wagons etc to photograph.
