Avebury village is set within a large prehistoric stone circle, older than Stonehenge. Situated well on the tourist trail, it gets busy in summer and is best visited early morning or late afternoon in summer.

Pentre Ifan burial chamber is set against the backdrop of heather clad hills in the northern part of Pembrokeshire national park. reasonable grass/ dirt footpath to the location, use walking boots or wellies after rain.
Dunston Staiths on the River Tyne is considered to be the largest wooden structure in Europe. It used to be used to transfer coal by rail from the Durham coalfields and loaded from the Staiths onto ships waiting on the river.
