Whitby is an ancient sea port close to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. It also has to be one of the best places in the country for photographers. Many DPC students have visited Whitby and I never cease to be amazed at the variety of images they submit.

Moreton Corbet Catle
Admission is free. Opening hours are daylight only but I went at an evening and was not bothered at all. Access is via an unlocked small gate. Superb place for light painting and star trails as not much light pollution. I also did wire wool spinning there as well

Pak in the housing estate and take the footpath. Walk West / North West and you will see a big cliff face on the left. There is an obvious grass path up there. Very steep. I imagine very slippery in the wet!
